Our physiotherapists have extensive post graduate training in a variety of treatment techniques including McKenzie Spinal treatments, Mulligan mobilizations, Advanced Manual therapy mobilization and manipulation, Soft tissue release techniques, Kinesiotaping, Watson Shoulder Assessment, Acupuncture, Running Biomechanics, and many more.
Peter Jordan, HBPE., BHSc(PT).
Peter is a physiotherapist and the clinic owner. He is a Lakehead University graduate of the Physical Education program prior to attending McMaster University for his Physiotherapy degree. Peter grew up in Thunder Bay, moved to southern ontario for a few years and returned in 2000 when he started his clinic at Lakehead University.
Peter has over 19 years of experience in treating a variety of orthopaedic conditions. He has had success treating a variety of clients including national level athletes, NHL to IP1 hockey players, competitive and recreational runners, and most other types of active individuals.
Peter has competed in cycling, skiing and running locally and internationally and enjoys working with athletes at all levels. He has a special interest in knee and shoulder injuries. He takes an active approach to rehabilitaion combining manual therapy and exercise in helping clients maximize their function.
Adam Blando, M.Sc.(PT), HBK, B.Ed.
Adam graduated from Lakehead University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and Bachelor of Education in 2013. He attended McMaster University to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2015. Adam grew up in Markham, Ontario playing hockey, basketball, and rugby at various levels competitively. He has a background in personal training of athletes of all levels in Northwestern and Southern Ontario in hockey, basketball,volleyball and rugby. Adam is currently going through the orthopaedic manual therapy levels as part of his continuing education, as well as completing his certification in Sports Physiotherapy Canada as a designated Sports Physiotherapist. Adam believes rehabilitative exercises that focus on improving the stability and strength of the injured joints are imperative to the rehabilitation process for all patients.
Brian Rosina, BSc(Kin), BSc(PT)
Brian has been practicing locally for over 15 years. He is a CrossFit athlete, runner, cyclist and outdoor enthusiast. Brian's primary area of interest is the rehabilitation of sports injuries, but you don't have to be an athlete to see him. Brian has a wide range of orthopaedic training to help with your injuries and to help you understand how to minimize the risk of injuries before they happen. Brian is an avid strength and functional movement therapist with the goal of empowering you to learn self management techniques that put YOU in control of your rehabilitation.
Kirsten Sample, BSc(Kin), MSc (PT)
Kirsten completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at St. Francis Xavier University before going on to complete her Masters of Physiotherapy at McMaster University. She worked previously as a Kinesiologist and sports conditioning coach with a wide range of athletes in hockey, soccer, rugby, and football. She played rugby for 10 years at the university, provincial and national level. She currently enjoys running, hiking and camping.
Kirsten has over 9 years of clinical experience and has taken many post-graduate courses including Levels 1, 2 & 3 in the orthopaedic manual therapy series and several myofascial release type courses. Her approach to treatment combines joint mobility and stability approach in addition to a strengthening component and always providing a home exercise program.
Kerri works part time at our clinic as an office administrator. Her role includes coordinating the physiotherapist’s schedules, managing client files, and providing friendly customer service to all our clients. Outside of work, she enjoys staying busy and active with her family and experimenting with new and healthy recipes in the kitchen.
Melanie is our full time office administrator here at the clinic. Responsible for all the front line tasks, her smiling face is the first on you’ll see upon arriving. Outside of work, Melanie enjoys outdoor activities, particularly fishing, and relaxing with her family.
